Hey-yo Everybody

It's been 2 weeks since I'd settled down at SUN-U Residence. The reason I didn't update my blog as soon as I got here is all because of the internet SUCKS here. Seriously SUCKS! Sometimes can't even log in to msn. So, my housemates and I decided to try out P1 Wimax. Currently, it's working OK.

Now, something about the life in Monash....

1. The food there is very very very expensive and not nice at all...except 9109 hotdogs and San Francisco Coffee
2. Everything is quite high tech there. Most of the work are done by machines or online. For example, we can self borrow books. No need people. Just tag student card and the books. Easy right? We also top up our printing credit through machines. Just like the touch n go system. Even our timtables are allocated online.
3. The notes for lectures must be printed by ourselves. Lecturers do not provide them like in college.
4. The 2 auditoriums, where most of my lectures are held, are some sort like a cinema. For the orientation, I actually watched a live telecast casted from the other auditorium because one audi is not big enough to fit in hundreds of us. There's already more than a hundred students from the school of engineering only, attending the orientation.
5. I discovered that there are many Indonesians studying at Monash.

This picture is the view from my room at SUN-U Residence. Beautiful view of Sunway Lagoon right? Sometimes can listen to free concerts held at Sunway Lagoon from my room(according to my housemates). Everyday, I walked to uni. No more car this time(sigh). After classes, I will either walk back or hop into the free shuttle. The free shuttles fetch people around Sunway. They will stop at a few stops like Monash, SUN-U, Sunway Pyramid, Sunway college, Sunway Medical Center, Sunway hotel and Sunway Lagoon.
